More Choice, More Moments: Meeting Consumers' Changing Preferences
From a caffeine-free cola in Thailand to a barley tea in Taiwan, Swire Coca-Cola is expanding its beverage portfolio to better serve how people eat, drink and live today.
It is 9 p.m. In Bangkok, someone reaches for a cola they once avoided after dark. In Taipei, a table of friends shares a bottle of unsweetened barley tea over a spicy stir-fry. The drinks could hardly be more different, but both began with the same starting point: capturing new opportunities to serve consumers as consumption habits evolve.

This summer in Thailand, Coca-Cola introduced Coke Zero Zero, a sleek black-and-gold canned beverage featuring zero sugar, zero caffeine and zero calories, while still delivering the iconic Coca-Cola taste. As the first market in Southeast Asia to launch the product, Thailand is responding to demand for sparkling beverages that can be enjoyed at any time of day with a stylish option.
While Thailand shows the shift, Taiwan shows how we respond to the caffeine-free trend with scale. Tea accounts for more than 40% of the local non-alcoholic ready-to-drink beverage market, making it one of the region's most significant categories.

A chilled barley tea, the perfect accompaniment to cut through the richness of a spicy stir-fry.

A large-scale Barley Tea activation at Taipei airport strengthened our leadership in unsweetened tea.
To meet growing demand for unsweetened and caffeine-free options, Swire Coca-Cola Taiwan widened its champion tea portfolio with Real Leaf Barley Tea.Brewed from 100% six-row barley to recreate the yakan-brewed taste that was already sold more than 100 million bottles in Japan, it provides a refreshing alternative that complements modern eating and drinking habits.
While these launches serve different consumer needs, both are rooted in local insights. By responding to local trends and tastes, Swire Coca-Cola continues to broaden its portfolio to better serve consumers across different markets and occasions.
